Wednesday, the 9th, was my…. wait for it…. 27th Birthday!
Seeing as though I have the best friends and family a [now] 27 year old could ask for, my day was filled with lots of excitement and pretty things.
The night before, my dear friend Estela brought me these, delicious, Crumbs cupcakes:
then, the morning of my birthday, I woke up to this hilarious sign (from Urban Outfitters):
— also from Estela.
my birthday breakfast consisted of peanut butter wheat toast, a banana… and 1/4 of the peanut butter and chocolate Crumbs cupcake, birthday breakfast of champions, right?
Later in the morning Aaron and I went to a yoga class….TOGETHER! I am so glad that he came to a yoga class with me!
For lunch we went to The Alcove, my favorite lunch spot in Los Angeles. I, as always, indulged in my FAVORITE. SANDWICH. EVER. the Brie and Apple Panini with a side of yummy fries.
The rest of the afternoon was spent relaxing. Then, Aaron and I went to dinner at my FAVORITE restaurant in Los Angeles. The Little Door!
We split a bottle of wine, and one of the best cheese plates I have ever had. Aaron ordered the Duck Confit (a meal he rates as one of the best, ever) and I ordered the Monkfish with Chanterelle Risotto. For dessert with had the strawberry/ rhubard tart AND the chocolate pot de creme.
What a great birthday!
