pear & apple crumble.

last week we had several pears and apples from our produce delivery that needed to be used, so I made this DELICIOUS pear & apple crumble.

its super easy to make and is really a crowd pleaser (I made it again last night for our small dinner party and it got rave reviews).
If you’re looking for an easy, refreshing dessert- this is a great recipe for any occasion!

Pear & Apple Crumble (adapted from The Pioneer Woman’s Pear Crisp)

Filling Ingredients:
2-3 pears 
2-3 apples
2/3 cups sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
 
Topping Ingredients
1-1/2 cup flour
1/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup brown sugar 
1 teaspoon cinnamon 
3/4 cup chopped pecans and walnuts
1 stick butter, melted

 

Preparation Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Peel, core, and dice pears & apples. Place into a bowl and stir together with 2/3 cup sugar and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Set aside.
In a separate bowl, combine flour, sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, and pecans & walnuts. Stir together. Drizzle melted butter gradually, stirring with a fork as you go until all combined.
Pour pear & apple mixture into a baking dish; top with crumb topping.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes, or until topping is golden brown.

Not only does this taste fantastic; but it will have your house smelling great too!
